Although Robin has only Bow Hunted for the past
several years, she is not new to the outdoors. She
has had a passion for fishing for as long as she can
remember and grew up surrounded by many family
members and friends who would regularly have get
togethers preparing the weekly harvest as a meal for
all to share. From pheasant, to rabbit, squirrel,
quail, turkey and venison, Robin remembers these
Friday evening events with much fondness.
It
has only been in the past 5 years that Robin has
been able to realize her dream of becoming an all
round sportswoman and dedicate so much of her time
and efforts to learning from each experience in the
woods and bring that new found knowledge into each
future hunt. She is far from the second seat hunter
or angler, as she is a full throttle, pedal to the
medal, jump in headfirst and give it your all, type
of woman.
With no experience behind her, last year, Robin
decided to edit and produce her own hunting DVD; Ms
Grit’s Whitetail Adventures, Volume 1. It was a
success and now this year, you can also find her
behind the camera filming hunts for others.
Robin hopes that her exposure as a female huntress
will lead many other woman and young girls to come
forward and to realize, not only in hunting, but in
life itself, that you do not have to fit any
conventional mold of what society says you should be
and do in order to find your own happiness and be
successful at the activities that you most enjoy and
that you can still be feminine while doing so. You
do not have to be the son your dad never had to be
his best hunting buddy.
