“Everyday hunters sharing their outdoor experiences”

Drop Tine Productions was formed by Tom Petry who is an experienced outdoor television producer. Prior to creating his own company, Tom was the field producer and assistant editor for “Red Hawk Outdoors” which appeared on the Outdoor Channel in 2000-2002.

With the goal of producing hunting DVD’S and a new television series called “Drop Tine’s Outdoor Realities.”, Tom brought together a small group of seasoned veteran hunters and field producers to serve as senior Pro-Staff members, along with a select few Pro and Field Staff members who are just regular folks with a burning desire to hunt and capture their experiences on camera to share with other every day people.

D.T.O.R. as we often refer to ourselves, recruits average every day sportsmen and women who demonstrate a commitment to capturing their hunts on video and sharing those experiences with other every day hunters. We also strive to get young people involved in the great outdoors and encourage their efforts. Mentoring youngsters is a very important part of who we are. Many of our hunting adventures feature new and young hunters as they are captured on video so their hunts and outdoor experiences can be shared with everyone.

Part one of our goals and objectives is to produce high quality hunting DVD’S.

Tom and his company “Drop Tine Productions,” has already produced two outstanding turkey hunting DVD’S in a series called “Turkey Tales.” With the outstanding success of “Turkey Tales” Volume 1 and 2, Turkey Tales Volume 3 was released in the spring of 2010 and was met with great reviews. With emphasis on regular hunters, young people and “keeping it real” we believe it sets these DVD’S apart from many others being produced today. We are currently working on “Turkey Tales” Volume 4 and have over twenty new hunts to include on this volume. We are also currently producing our first whitetail hunting DVD titled “White Tales” Volume 1.

We are in the process of editing a pilot episode for television. “Drop Tine’s Outdoor Realities” will feature everyday hunters pursuing their hunting adventures with their everyday hunting buddies along with our own staff members, friends and family sharing their hunts. Each episode will feature one of each type of hunt. Using submissions from regular hunters from around the country will keep the concept of “reality” in the forefront of our television series. Our belief is that it is not the size of the trophy that makes the hunt, but rather the quality of the hunting experience, and sharing it with friends and family.
